Penguin information report

Hi
This week once we have finished our polar bear information report, we could choose another animal and I chose penguins to write an information report about. We had to get information from a book then a digital book and from the internet. Here is my report about penguins:

Have you seen a penguin before? They are flightless birds although some birds fly. Did you also know that penguins have good hearing and that one species called real can jump 5 feet? If you want to know more facts you should read on.

Penguins eat food like fish, krill and squid. They catch their food by swimming and catch them then eat them. If they do not eat food, they will starve and then die.

A penguin can swim 15 miles per hour and it is really fast. Their flippers are useful because they can catch their food easily. Their feet are webbed or connected to their body so they can swim really fast.

Penguins have predators and dangers and those dangers kill them. Leopard seals, polar bears, killer whales and foxes kill them. Even rats and cats could kill penguins. Penguins also have natural dangers like pollution and global warming that can kill the penguins.

Penguins live in really, really freezing places like Antarctica, South America, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand but there is one that only the galapagos species lives in and it is on Galapagos island. The galapagos species does not live in the other places in the world apart from Galapagos island.

Penguins have two or one babies at a time. The baby egg is around 12 centimetres long and around 8 centimetres wide. It weighs about 400 grams. Newborn penguins can also be called chicks. When the chick dies, the mother steals another baby.

Penguins are interesting because they swim fast and keep warm by staying together in giant, humongous groups and waddle.

Plastic problem

Hello
This week we were given a book choice to select out of some books and I chose a book about this school doing a challenge having no plastic in their lunch boxes. We had to make a DLO and we are learning to monitor to ensure we have a full and deep understanding of what we have read. We had to draw awareness of the situation in our story.

Polar bear writing

Hello people
This week we are learning to write an information report and we had to write a report about polar bears and here is my one:

Polar bear information report

Have you ever seen a polar bear? They are humongous and heavy animals with a lot of fur. They live in cold places, hunt, eat yummy food for them and survive. You should read more if you want to learn more cool things and facts about them.

Did you know that polar bears eat seals? Polar bears hunt their lunch down by waiting by a breathing hole. The seals pop out their heads because they need air. The seals cannot break the ice with their head so they have to breathe from a breathing hole instead. The polar bear hits the seal’s head and eats it. Polar bears eat seals because it is yum for them.

Sometimes humans hunt down polar bears with guns. They use the polar bear's fur to make stuff. Some other male polar bears kill some cubs. The mother is sad when the cubs die. Polar bears from global warming because the ice melts. Avalanches can also kill them because they are really, really gian t.

Polar bears live in freezing places like the antarctic. Polar bears also live in Russia, Canada, USA and more places. Polar bears live on thick ice and not thin ice because if they live on thin ice, it will break because they are way too heavy. So that is why they live on thick ice and not thin ice.

Polar bears are really tall. They are taller than humans. Their fur is transparent not white so this means that their fur is see through or clear. Polar bears are also really heavy and really big. They are good at swimming. While they swim, they have a layer of fat to keep them warm while swimming in cold water.

Polar bears are cool animals because they eat a lot and they have an interesting fur color. They weigh a lot because they are really big.
