China is a big country. Did you know that China is the country that has the most people in the world? 1,404.44 million people live in China in 2020 and it is a very popular country.

China has a capital city and the city is Beijing. Chongqing is the biggest city in China and it is 82300 kilometres long. China is the third largest country in the world. It is 9.597 million kilomters². China is a very, very big country.

China has a lot of famous people. Li Bai is one of the famous people. His name is written 李白 in Chinese letters. He is famous for writing Chinese poetry. The most famous person in China is Confucius. He is a philosopher. There are lots of other famous people in China.

One of the foods that Chinese people serve in China is peking duck which is roast duck with crispy skin. Chinese people also serve dumplings which are pastry filled with meat and vegetables and China also has food like noodles, rice, sweet rice balls, fish and dim sum. Dim sum is food served at a restaurant. Chinese people also serve hotpot which is a pot with spicy water or normal water and Chinese people put food in it and it cooks.

China has some celebrations that they celebrate. One of them is the Chinese new year and Chinese new year is 15 days long. There is also the qingming festival that they celebrate and the dragon boat festival they celebrate as well.

The dragon dance is when lots of people hold a dragon and make it move around with music and drum beats. The lion dance is similar to the dragon dance when they do the same thing as the dragon dance when they hold the dragon with music and dance with it. There are lots of people watching the dance because they like watching the dance.

China has a lot of dangers in the country. One of them is the flood and a flood is when there is lots of water and people drown because they cannot breathe. China also has typhoons which is a giant storm, tsunamis which is a big wave of water coming and people will drown, earthquakes is when the earth shakes, droughts and droughts are when there is no water and people thirst. There is also covid 19.

China's history is very old. One of them was the great wall of China. It was a human made wall and it is a very, very long wall. They built it because during the war they built it to defend themselves. There was a war with Japan and China lost the first one but won the next one.

China has traditional dresses that they wear. During Chinese new year, people wear red because they get good luck because wearing red scares away the bad luck. China also has other traditional dresses like tang jacket which is also a traditional dress and also wear a dress called cheongsam.

Penguin information report

Hi
This week once we have finished our polar bear information report, we could choose another animal and I chose penguins to write an information report about. We had to get information from a book then a digital book and from the internet. Here is my report about penguins:

Have you seen a penguin before? They are flightless birds although some birds fly. Did you also know that penguins have good hearing and that one species called real can jump 5 feet? If you want to know more facts you should read on.

Penguins eat food like fish, krill and squid. They catch their food by swimming and catch them then eat them. If they do not eat food, they will starve and then die.

A penguin can swim 15 miles per hour and it is really fast. Their flippers are useful because they can catch their food easily. Their feet are webbed or connected to their body so they can swim really fast.

Penguins have predators and dangers and those dangers kill them. Leopard seals, polar bears, killer whales and foxes kill them. Even rats and cats could kill penguins. Penguins also have natural dangers like pollution and global warming that can kill the penguins.

Penguins live in really, really freezing places like Antarctica, South America, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand but there is one that only the galapagos species lives in and it is on Galapagos island. The galapagos species does not live in the other places in the world apart from Galapagos island.

Penguins have two or one babies at a time. The baby egg is around 12 centimetres long and around 8 centimetres wide. It weighs about 400 grams. Newborn penguins can also be called chicks. When the chick dies, the mother steals another baby.

Penguins are interesting because they swim fast and keep warm by staying together in giant, humongous groups and waddle.

Polar bear writing

Hello people
This week we are learning to write an information report and we had to write a report about polar bears and here is my one:

Polar bear information report

Have you ever seen a polar bear? They are humongous and heavy animals with a lot of fur. They live in cold places, hunt, eat yummy food for them and survive. You should read more if you want to learn more cool things and facts about them.

Did you know that polar bears eat seals? Polar bears hunt their lunch down by waiting by a breathing hole. The seals pop out their heads because they need air. The seals cannot break the ice with their head so they have to breathe from a breathing hole instead. The polar bear hits the seal’s head and eats it. Polar bears eat seals because it is yum for them.

Sometimes humans hunt down polar bears with guns. They use the polar bear's fur to make stuff. Some other male polar bears kill some cubs. The mother is sad when the cubs die. Polar bears from global warming because the ice melts. Avalanches can also kill them because they are really, really gian t.

Polar bears live in freezing places like the antarctic. Polar bears also live in Russia, Canada, USA and more places. Polar bears live on thick ice and not thin ice because if they live on thin ice, it will break because they are way too heavy. So that is why they live on thick ice and not thin ice.

Polar bears are really tall. They are taller than humans. Their fur is transparent not white so this means that their fur is see through or clear. Polar bears are also really heavy and really big. They are good at swimming. While they swim, they have a layer of fat to keep them warm while swimming in cold water.

Polar bears are cool animals because they eat a lot and they have an interesting fur color. They weigh a lot because they are really big.
