Today at home I have been doing the summer learning journey and in the slideshow there was a video for us to watch and it was about a man who does art by making insects with the objects from his garden then I made this moth. The body and the anntenae part was made out of a twig and the wings were made out of these leaves i found on my tree in my backyard. Finally, the circles on the anntenae were made from green leaves that are cut into these tiny circle shapes. Here is the moth that I made

last week we were writing explanation and there were three topics to choose from and i chose to write about how rainbows are formed. I chose this because they are colorful and the other topics I already knew but I didn't on rainbows so I chose rainbows. I wrote a piece of explanation to show you how rainbows are formed here is my writing

How are rainbows formed?

Have you seen a rainbow? It is very colorful. You can not touch a rainbow, it is a light and you can only see it from a long distance. Read explanation to learn about how rainbows are formed.

A rainbow is made from light and a prism. If you shine your flashlight at a prism you get a rainbow. A rainbow is made when rain meets sunlight. The raindrops and sunlight act like prisms and flashlights. The sunlight goes inside the water droplet and it bends slightly and changes direction; this is called refraction. Note that no two people can see the exact same rainbow because each person is at a different angle and using different droplets of water. With that said, it is not possible to do it.

The colors on the rainbow are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Each color has a different wavelength and each one determines where the color should be. The color red has the longest wavelength because it is on the top of the rainbow, the colour violet has the shortest wavelength and that’s why it’s on the bottom.

Did you know that rainbows are actually full circles? Rainbows look like arches since we are seeing them from the ground. It seems like an arc but from the sight of a tall view such as a tall building, mountain or airplane but if you want to see a full circle rainbow, do not forget that you need to have sunlight and rain at the same time.

To make rainbows, you need sunlight and rain at the same time. Therefore, rainbows are rare and are colorful. They are very cool and stuff.

This week we have been reading a 2 page book that has instruction on how to make a decoration for light windows. We have to make a summary on the book and draw some pictures from this website called art hub for kids. I chose the book because I like to read instruction books.

Shark quiz and venn diagram

This week we have been reading about a book about sharks with lots of shark facts and we have to make a venn diagram comparing two animals that we have read about and i chose giraffes and sharks to compare in my venn diagram and we have to make a quiz about sharks. I made my quiz on a google form and  changed the setting to turn it from a survey into a quiz. I made my venn diagram on a google drawing here is my quiz and venn diagram:

Description writing

 hi people

This week we have been writing a description writing about a tree in the middle of two paths and one path is bad and the other path is good.

I can see a ginormous tree in between two paths. There is a filthy gloomy path filled with rubbish and smells of disgusting dog dungy and it makes my nose feel uncomfortable. I can see a nuclear plant putting smoke clouds into the sky.

However, there is a second path on the opposite side with beautiful sunshine and a clean city and no rubbish or piles of dungy on the place and bright yellow sunflowers. There is also a deer at the start of the path. On the other path one half of the reww has fully grown and the other half has no green leaves at all and has a scary vulture staring at stuff and loudly screeching.

Pandas

This week we have been reading a book about pandas and facts about them. We have to make a video showing some questions and answers about pandas, make an animal enclosure for a panda and identify three most important things for a panda and why you think it is important for it. WALT to understand a text by answering questions about a text.

These weeks we have been writing a narrative about a scene and monsters and make a pick a path and I chose a scene about a big house floating house that is flying very very high because it has a lot of big helium balloons attached to it and then we have to write 5 paragraph senses of the picture and then we have to introduce monsters in it and then make a pick a path about it and then we have to upload it and put it on a slideshow and then publish it onto our blog.
