slj summer haiku

 Hi people
today i have been learning about haikus and they are poems with the first sentice 5 sylliballs and the second sentence 7 and the third is also 5 sylliballs then we have to write what we do at home then i did one about me doing homework everyday

    I love the haiku you have created! It is so interesting to hear your summer experience. I think it’s great that you make time for both homework and play.

    The haiku structure is so tricky! You almost got it, the first sentence just has one extra syllable. Overall, great poem!

    Have you done anything special over the break? I have spent time with friends which is always special.

    You get a gold start for doing homework over summer. I have done some learning around ipads.
    I hope you have a great year in 2021 and write a few more poems! Try finding something about nature to write Haiku- thats what the Japanese wrote them about (I think) . Mr Williams is particularly good at them!!
